Roses and Violets and You!

Poems / Monday, June 11th, 2018

Roses are not just red,
Violets — not quite blue,
This world that we live in,
Is shrewder than the shrew!

Smiles don’t mean always happy,
And frowns don’t mean one’s down,
People here judge too quickly,
Our feelings — they bring us down!

Roses — yellow, black and red,
Violets — white, cream and blue,
All the world at my feet — yet,
I’m incomplete without you!

My heart doth beat a tad faster,
Whilst I’m talking to you!
You make my world better,
By you just being — ‘you’!

My blood is red,
My veins are blue,
Deep is the affection,
That I have for you!

Parting is sweet sorrow,
So, I now bid thee adieu!
What I just wrote,
I really got no clue! 🙂
